Dangerously Desperate

What do you do when your back is forced against a wall and there is no familiar access of escape? How do you respond? How do you react? Is there any help nearby? Are there any resources available to you? What are you going to do?

There are times when we could find ourselves in a position of desperation. A type of experience we've never encountered before. An encounter that one may find he or she is not built for, or, lack the ability of critical thinking upon onset. 

This is a recipe that could cause a person to become dangerous. Causing a person to do or say things they never thought they could, or, would. 

I encourage all to study the Book of Isaiah and speak Psalms 91 as a covering over and into your life. It helps. I'm a witness. #thatsurthurty

Triggers

I absolutely hate them. They're like the hair that comes out of my chin...they come when they want. I have no control. 

There are people who make fun of Veterans, as some of us suffer and live with PTSD. I have 2 forms of it. My big sense of humor and creativity to distract myself is how I manage them. Others aren't so lucky.

There are many other's whom suffer from different types of trauma from; childhood, adolescent, and even in their adult years, whom experience triggers as well. And like us Veterans, their triggers come without warning. 

Many people make fun, label and call us crazy, not understanding that we are more sane and aware to our surroundings than they ever could be. We are more sensitive to the needs and well being of others also.

So in some ways we reverse the frustration of our triggers into coping mechanisms to be more human than humanity, pulling the trigger on our triggers. #thatsurthurty

Climbing Up. Coming Over. Going Down.

One would believe that climbing up a hill is the hard part, and going down is the easy part. Totally wrong. Climbing up is the easy part, you can gain your footing as you stumble along the way. Going down is the hard part, you have to maintain your footing so that you don't come down too fast. Same thing in reaching for, and, accomplishing goals, as well as receiving Blessings from GOD. 

We have things we desire, so we create and have change plans, or, the direction we want to go in a matter. Same as climbing a hill, you have to adjust your footing with the terrain. All ground isn't solid. 

Once we've achieved our goal, or received our Blessings, we have to maintain them, being good Stewards. This is when the top of the hill has been reached. 

Then there is the responsibility of allocating, distributing, and sharing the excess of our Blessings responsibly to others. This is going down the hill. If things are not proportioned in balance, what we have accomplished and or been given by GOD can be squandered away. 

Conquer the Hill. Respect the Hill. #thatsurthurty

You Have To Do Your Part

When asking GOD for the desires of your heart, you have work to do towards your desires as well.

There are many who have the misunderstanding of when asking GOD for something, HE has to do it, or, give us what we asked for because we are HIS children. 

NOT!!!

GOD is always willing and wants to give us more than what we ask, but, there is work we must do towards that desire as well. It may be for you to start or stop doing something.

Stop sleeping so late and start getting up at 6am. Stop overeating and start exercising.  Stop abusing alcohol and/or drugs, and start seeking help for yourself. These are just a few examples. 

We have to do our due diligence when asking GOD for the desires of our heart. Yes, there are times when HE gifts us without asking. That's HIS Favor and Grace. HE loves us like that, but HE won't allow us to take advantage of HIM with our laziness. 

Ask and you shall receive, but, in your asking, ask HIM to prepare you to receive. #thatsurthurty

Get Out Of Your Own Way

Most often times we are not satisfied with the way things turn out in certain situations, even after there has been a resolve. We tend to allow our flesh to dictate to us, instead of listening to that soft voice that has already spoken telling us; 'it is done'.

To revisit issues instead of letting them go is dangerous, especially if it's been resolved. The resolve I speak of is Divine, GOD'S resolve. We ask HIM to handle a situation, HE does, that's it. There is no need or sound reason for you to double check GOD'S Work. If HE says 'it's done'..........it's done! Leave it alone. #thatsurthurty

When It Drys Up. New wine. New wineskin.

When all of your resources are exhausted, what do you do? You have nothing left. No one to help you even if they tried. You have nothing. What do you do? 

I'll tell you....you open your arms as wide as you can and tell the Lord that you are ready to receive. Ten times out of ten, when we have been believing and speaking for bigger things to manifest in our lives, GOD has to remove what was in place in efforts to give us the good desires of our hearts. The old has to dry out in efforts for the new to come in.

There is a passage of scripture that speaks of new wine not to be poured into old wineskin, as the new wine will cause the old bag to burst, spilling the new wine out. Wasting it. GOD will not release HIS Blessings to us if we are not willing to let go of old things. HE knows that we will not be good Stewards over it, so HE won't allow us to waste it.  

When going through dry seasons in your life, please try not to let frustration take over your emotions and thoughts, instead prepare for the receiving of the Blessings of abundance in overflow, as those around you will also receive. Prepare, don't pout. #thatsurthurty

Worry vs. Concern

Often times we literally worry ourselves to death. For as much as we worry about things we can't change, there is time being wasted that can't be given back unless restored by the Heavenly Father. We don't control time. HE does. We can manage our time, but we don't control time. 

Matthew 6:25 -34

To worry invites stress. Stress contains many elements that are harsh on the body, one
element is aging. Aging can cause one to look older than he or she is. Similar to a person whom has substance abuse issues. 

Concern is to rationalize, meaning that a person is seeking out resolve or resolution. Yes, the matter is on their mind, but, they're not agonizing or frustrating themselves with self-doubt. 

To worry is to exhaust. To be concerned is to edify. #thatsurthurty

Rites of Passage. Live to Life, not Live to Die.

When one hears the term 'Rites of Passage', it's most often first, associated with slavery. It's actually one's status in life. Rites of Passage. Our Right to pass through this life. 

We all enter this world on a temporary basis regardless of how long or short we're here.  We are only passing through. How we live our lives during our time of passing through, is what we are judged on when it is our time to cross over. It also determines, where we cross over.  

The Crossing Over of our loved ones is an honor to witness. Most would deem this to be a sad occasion, as the person whom is at their time to cross is leaving us from their physical state.  The thought of knowing that person is physically leaving, not knowing when we'll see them again is what causes the sadness. We know we'll see them again. Just not, when. 

During your tenure on this earth, I encourage you to please do your best in life. None of us are perfect and will make mistakes. Making mistakes doesn't make you a bad person, it confirms you're human. Please don't use this as an excuse to live your life out of sorts and against society norms. There is a consequence of spiritual death which makes ones crossing over, agonizing. 

Let your passage be; right, abundant, fruitful, and, prosperous in every way in spite of trials and tribulations. Live to life, not live to die. #thatsurthurty

From Trauma to Healing

There are often times when we know there is something we are to begin or start doing and we hesitate due to fear. Not being afraid, but, fearful.

Being afraid and fearful are two different things. Being afraid means you want no part of whatever the issue or situation is, being fearful means you're not sure, but, are willing to face whatever is in front of you. 

This is how we are able to fight, push through, conquer, and heal from our past and/or current trauma's. So many times we don't want to face things due to trauma in our life. We don't want to feel, or, deal with that type of issue again so we separate ourselves from; people, jobs, business, relationships, ministry, etc. 

Truth of the matter is that we have to address issues in efforts to overcome them, and, allow the better version of ourselves to come forward. 

Yes, some terrible things have happened to us all and there's nothing we can do to change that, but, we can keep them from happening to us and our Loved ones ever again by addressing the trauma(s). Face them head on. Don't turn away from them. Conquer them by addressing them. Then, and only then, does the healing begin. #thatsurthurty

Its Not!

When you think it's done and over, it's not. There are many times when we will go through things in our lives, good and bad, and we'll think or believe this is the end of something. It's not. It's the beginning. 

The end of a job is the beginning of a career. The end of a relationship is the beginning of a friendship. The end of abuse is the beginning of healing. The end of suffering is the beginning of prosperity, and so on.

Some things have to end in order for others to begin. #thatsurthurty

Difference between Affirmation and Confirmation

There are some people who believe Affirmation and Confirmation are the same thing. They are not. They are two different things.

Affirmations are things one believes of him, or, herself. The person speaks words of encouragement, their personal vision, and, or purpose into their life concerning themselves only.  Some would refer to this as speaking Declarations, which is not true. 

Confirmation comes from GOD whether it's direct from HIM, conduit through someone or something else(song, spoken word, etc.), by vision, and, or dream. 

Affirmation is of self. Confirmation is of GOD. #thatsurthurty

Don't Let Them Talk You Out of It.

One should be very careful of sharing their hopes and dreams with others. Everyone isn't going to support you. Some people will flat out tell you what you can and can't do, talking you out of even making an attempt to try.

Some are so slowful in their own ways that they believe what is according to their life, is according to everyone else and that is so far from the truth. They don't want to try. They don't have vision. They don't have purpose. None of this pertains to you. Only them. 

A lot of times you will have to keep your Visions to yourself as other's don't see, hope for, or, desire the things you do. They are also not equipped, or, capable of doing what you can. 

Safeguard your Vision. Keep it to yourself. The world will see it after it begins to manifest. Even then they may not understand, but, they won't have the opportunity to talk you out of it. #thatsurthurty

Difference between Anxious and Patient

There are many times when we are anxious to receive something that GOD has already promised. It could be something we're in desperate need of, and have been waiting a very long time.

Rest assure that when GOD promises us something, we will receive it at the right time. Be, and, remain patient.  HE knows we are in need, and, HE knows the right time for us to receive it. Remain aware, stedfast, and continue to do the work until you have received what HE has promised. #thatsurthurty

Salvageable

Unfortunately there are many who have the misconception of whenever one does something wrong, or, lives in an unGodly way, that person is automatically damned to hell.  That is so far from the truth.

If you are a Believer you know that GOD is a forgiving GOD, very patient, and doesn't dam people to hell for every mistake, or, wrongdoing. That's man's way. GOD does not think, act, respond, or, punish according to man. 

Rest assure that if you've accepted and confessed Christ as your Savior, your Salvation is sealed. This doesn't mean you have a pass to live out your life in a hedonist way, you are held accountable for wrong doing. You also have HIS Grace extended towards you to correct yourself. #thatsurthurty

Eye Candy

How many times have you seen someone of the opposite sex and immediately was attracted to their physical features? Now, how many times have you been attracted to someone like that to later find their inside does not match up with their outside? Many I'm sure.

I've experienced this a few times and it never failed, their hearts didn't match up with what I was attracted to. After spending time and having conversations, I realized that person wasn't supposed to receive ANY of my time.

Eye candy is most often just good to look at. It's just like real candy that we consume. It's outer appearance attracts us usually by its color, shape or labeling. We're soon to find out that some of that candy is not to our liking.  Some is flat out horrible. 

I've learned to take a closer look at that label, and read the ingredients. I encourage you to do the same. #thatsurthurty

GOD'S Exposure

There are going to be times in our lives when GOD will allow some of our struggles, and even some of our dirt to be exposed. This is not only for our personal Testimony, but, for the Testimony and Witness of others who know of your struggle to see how HE'S cleaning you up, and bringing you through.

I'm a very private person and most often times I don't share all with those I trust in efforts not to be a burden, and, some things are too personal, or, embarrassing. 

I share enough for them to be in agreement with me in prayer to get better and get through, coming out the situation, or, situations stronger and very much wiser.

GOD has also allowed some of those struggles that I tried to keep private to be revealed. Not to hurt me, but to show how HE loves me and is there to comfort, keep, guide, and protect me. And there's much more to it than that. 

I trust HE knows what HE'S doing, and, if someone else can benefit and become stronger.....then I'm all for it. Better two witnesses than one, for there HE is among us. #thatsurthurty

Your Seat. Your Table

Overused and filled with misperception is the term; 'what do you bring to the table?' Some people are so asphyxiated on the table, opposed to how many seats are at the table. 

Are there enough seats for everyone? If so, do you have an assigned seat? Most often times, not, as you are being asked 'what do you bring to the table?' If you're being asked what can you contribute to someone else's table, then that's not the table for you, unless your'e collaborating with others. 

You bringing something to someone else's table means the chair you sit in, is not a chair you earned. It's being given to you under a condition. What happen's if you don't meet or exceed those conditions? The chair is taken away. So now what do you do? Stand at the table? Try to earn the chair that was given back? Leave the room?

Know your worth and the value of having your own table that you furnish with our own chairs. The table is 'your' Vision. The chairs are your plans, purpose and missions. 

Unless you are collaborating with others at a table with an assigned seat, don't step into a room that doesn't contain a table owned and furnished by you. #thatsurthurty

Their Silence Towards You

There will be times when people who should be holding a much needed conversation with you, will stop speaking to you all together. There silence towards you is your voice of correction for them, and, anyone else who repeats the words they speak against you.

Instead of them talking to you, they talk about you, further confirming their wrong saying, or, doing, to the very people they believe will take their word and/or side. 

Loose lips and talkative tongues always expose themselves as the victimizer, never the victim they try to play. #thatsurthurty

Ask GOD

If you haven't experienced it already, there will be times when your blessings will go public, and, there will be some who will question how you were blessed and not them.

They will question as they are confused of why they are not receiving, and have been working just as hard as you.

They're asking the wrong question.

Receiving GOD'S Blessings are not measured on a person's quantity of worship or works. Its the quality. Some are even given out of HIS Favor towards us.  It's not a tit' for tat' situation. You do something, and HE gives you something. That's not how it works.

One person's Blessings are not for another. We all have; different Journey's, and, are quipped differently. One person can't receive the same Blessings as another. So rather than to question GOD of how HE'S blessing someone in a way HE'S not blessing you, ask GOD, 'how do I become Blessed, and, be a Blessings to others. Bless. Don't curse. #thatsurthurty

The Miraculous! Operate in Obedience

Often times when we hear that voice on the inside we doubt it, as it doesn't make common sense. Common sense is never the same as Spiritual Sense. 

Most don't believe in GOD, and often refer to a 'higher power' when things out of the unusual happen or take place. Well.....GOD is that Higher Power whether believed or not.

HE is the Highest Power and does things in ways that seem out of sorts to us. I encourage everyone reading this to listen to that still peaceful voice on the inside that can't be imitated. 

I encourage you to be bold, courageous, and sure of yourself in being obedient to HIM. When your flesh tries to come in with; doubt, denial, and, common sense, remove all those elements and operate in obedience of your Spiritual Sense. This is the Miraculous! Operate in obedience in it! #thatsurthurty

Not Until You Say So!

How often have you wondered why something hasn't happened for you and you believed it would? Many I'm sure. I've been there.

It hasn't happened because you have not spoken the words for it to happen. Believing, hoping, praying, and wishing are all good things to do, but, they all require another element. An action. Spoken word. 

We all have to open our mouths and say what it is that we; desire, need, and want. Not necessarily in that order, yet, we still have to speak it. I chose to speak and write, this way my thoughts are clear, and my words are exact and precise.
